We established St. Barnabas Anglican Church in September, 2007 as a mission congregation in the United Episcopal Church of North America (UECNA).

As the traditional Anglican Christian church, part of the Continuing Anglican movement in America, we proclaim and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ in worship and action. Rather than follow the tyranny of moral relativism, we uphold God’s Word on Biblical, Christian morality as the best hope for a stable society and individual happiness.

Anglicans are Christians who hold similar beliefs as the Church of England. We celebrate the inerrancy of God’s Word and we work to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible contains God’s revelation of Himself to humanity and is absolutely valid for all time to all peoples. The celebration of the Eucharist is central to our worship service, along with the communal offering of prayer and praise through the recitation of the liturgy.

We believe in a one true (Christian) church with direct ties all the way back to Jesus Christ, as evidenced by apostolic succession (every Bishop is ordained by a more senior Bishop extending back to, and directly tied to, the disciples of Christ).

Anglicans follow the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds as summaries of our faith, and the traditional structure and components of our worship services come from the1928 Prayer Book.

We believe, also, that the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion (1571/1801) are in accordance with Holy Scripture and firmly reject any other interpretations of our faith, ancient or modern.

We believe in the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. We believe marriage should be a life-long union between one man and one woman (but we also accept that marriages can and do fail, and will faithfully offer pastoral support to those in trouble).
